New Community Gym Opened by Geoff Capes   

Situated on Sluice Road, Holbeach St Marks (Part of the Bakkavor Site) the top floor of this building has been converted into a gym with top quality equipment from Technogym. Equipment includes Treadmills, Cross -Trainers, Upright Bikes, Concept 2 Rowers, a Multi-gym and "free weights".  There is also a studio that will incorporate a range of fitness classes including Kick boxing, step and aerobics.

Membership is just £100 or £10 a month for the first 100 members. Contact Tina at Bakkavor Pizza on 01406 703000 for membership details.

The facility is open 24/7 using a unique key fob to enable access at any time, following induction training from a Lincolnshire Sports Partnership qualified trainer.

Holbeach St Marks Multi-use Games Area

This has now been completed and was officially opened on April 24th, 2009.

We have been successful in obtaining the following grants towards the above games area:

£12,501 from Lincolnshire Community Grant Scheme

£40,000 from Lincolnshire "Playbuilder" programme

Grants success for Holbeach St Marks Play Area

A grant from the national lottery "Awards for All" fund of £10,000 and a further grant from The Local Network Fund for young people and children for £6,000, along with local fundraising has ensured the successful installation of rubber safer surfacing for the existing play area behind the village hall. Children from the village can now play on the multi-play towers in total safety, that is easily maintained.

Well done to all those who worked so hard to raise funds for this much need facility.
